so. . . how do they end up together?they both feel an attraction towards one another but one (dick) does want seraph to be totally honest with them and to possibly change their ways of "making criminals pay", while the other (seraph) isn't one for commitment, taking a step further in whatever kind of friendship he and dick have feels scary, but on the other hand he inevitably falls for nightwing (...yeah) who's like no hero they've ever know, even behind his masks he seems honest, he truly cares about the city...

Dick is the first to take the step forward, he knows seraph has a good heart, he learns to know them as both seraph and hermes, and behind their bravado, he can see their anger, passion but also insecurity and fear. He kisses them first, without telling them he knows they are Hermes or revealing that he's Nightwing.Before that however, Hermes and Nightwing work together for the first time and find that they work well together. Nightwing (dick) proposes that they drop the thief act and work together, doing actual good for the city

It takes Hermes (seraph) some time to accept that they could be a hero but eventually they accept Nightwing's proposal.It's in a tough battle that Seraph discovers Nightwing's identity, that he'd been he's very recent boyfriend. Seraph feels hurt and betrayed and they fall out for a while, while Dick tries to apologize and get them back.They talk it out (...i know) and decide to give eachother a second chance, promising to stop keeping secrets from eachother (it's not easy...).
They are a very silly couple in private, and an intimitdating vigilante duo at night.

in what universe does it take place?
this pairing's story takes place in an alternative universe within the comics settings with changes of my own. I mainly take inspiration from 90s nightwing comics (dixon); to be exact, seraph and dick meet one year after blockbuster's death except Bludhaven hasn't been nuked (yet)
Dick lives in Clancy's apartment building and that's where Seraph moves. Dick is also not a cop anymore.

Seraph is talkative, witty and charming. When they walk into a room they are the life of the party, and be sure that by the end of the night, everyone has talked with them. They are really good at reading people and matching their engergy.
However, they don't easily trust others and are very careful with who to get close with, their circle of trusted friends is really small and they're very protective of the people they care about.
backstory
At age 9, Seraph's and their mother's apartment in Bludhaven burns down in a accidental fire, they are taken in by a Metropolitan billionaire who "falls in love at first sight" with their mother. However, they end up living inside of a golden cage, from outside the man shows them off for his philanthropist image while behind doors they suffer under his violent hands. The man dies when-
Seraph is 17, murdered in one of his shady affairs.
After graduation, Seraph can finally leave Metropolis and pursue their dream of becoming a film director in New York City. But life is hard in the big apple, especially when they refuse to seek financial help from their mother. Seraph can barely live by and film school is not as gratifying as they had hoped...They drop out of film school and decide to move to Bludhaven, hoping to find a purpose...

who's HERMES?
"Someone who's not afraid to... send a message"To be able to survive the big city and college, Seraph turns to thievery, focusing on big corporations, billionaires and whatnot. At first, they rely on their wit and their manipulative skills to sneak in, until at one heist they see a pair of magical winged boots being actioned as the original Hermes' boots. The boots seem to call to them and they can't help but steal them, that's how they find out they do give them the ability to fly and super speed.
Seraph decides then to take on the name Hermes themselves and become the fastest thief in all of NYC.
When they move to Bludhaven, they also start targeting mobsters and criminals that profit off of other's sufferings. They take from them what really matters: their money.

/nightwing?Seraph decides to move to Bludhaven as a way to reconnect with their native city, refusing to ever go back to Metropolis. The very first day of moving, they meet Dick, who's attractive (maybe too attractive) and matches their flirtiness without being shy.
They immediately find out they both live on the same floor, side by side and as Seraph settles is, their back and forth becomes fun, creating a weird friendship between the two. Seraph entertains the thought of being more but knows there's no way someone like Dick might seriously like them...Nightwing is a pain in the ass, Bludhaven's vigilante that is always after them. They start bumping into eachother too often, realizing soon that the vigilante is actively going after them and trying to catch them. But he's so weird at the same time, trying to stop them with words rather than by force...

Everyone knows Dick as the good boy scout of the building, always ready to give out a hand and help everyone whenever he has time. he's kind and friendly with everyone, always running around omewhere. As a natural entertainers, he's charming and people quickly take a like to him.
But he also hides many secrets, careful to never let his charming mask fall off. As the oldest brother, he cares for his siblings and is very protective of his family. He feels many responsabilities on his shoulders, always putting other before himself. He's also a workhaolic, making it all the more hard to build long lasting relationships...
backstory
After his parents, the Flying Graysons, are murdered at one of the Haly's Circus shows, 9-year-old Dick Grayson becomes the ward of Bruce Wayne who later on reveals himself as the Batman. Together they protect Gotham as Batman and Robin, making Dick the first ever Robin.
Wanting to prove himself as a leader, he forms a group of sidekick turned heroes called the Teen Titans and he eventually grows out of the Robin mantle, taking onto the mask of Nightwing. After wearing Batman's mantle in Bruce's abscence for a while, he decides to be totally independent and move the figure of Nightwing to Bludhaven, considered Hell on Earth due to its high criminal activity...
